MEMBERSHIP AND MATERIAL BORROWING: Membership is mandatory and free to borrow material from our libraries. To apply for library membership, a document showing TR ID number or "foreigner identification number" for foreign users who have obtained a residence permit for at least six months is sufficient. Users borrow through a document showing their membership card or TR ID number (foreigner identification number for foreign users).The membership form can be obtained from the staff in the Borrowing Department and through filling it out, it can be used to lend books to homes. Membership should be updated every year and issued membership cards should not be lost. Library users can borrow three books / materials at a time.
Every user who is a member can use the book they want for 15 days (Basic Reference Resources: Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Yearbooks, Atlases, Bibliographies, Handbooks, Guides, Almanacs, frequently searched materials, Basic Reference Resources and the latest issues of the journals can only be used in exchange for identity card in the library and cannot be borrowed), and the period is extended if the user applies to our library if they cannot finish the book. Users must return the borrowed material on time without damaging it. For materials that are not returned on time, the relevant person is reminded by e-mail, SMS and letter or telephone, and requested to return the material. Users with expired materials cannot borrow more materials unless they return the materials on them. For materials that are not returned, unusable or lost, the library management requests that the material be procured from the market and, if not available, to pay its current value. If the book is not found, it is collected from the user by adding the cost of the binding to the current price of that day. The user, who does not pay the price of the book and does not return the book despite all warnings, is subject to action in accordance with the relevant article of the Turkish Penal Code.
Library users over the age of 15 can become a member of our library via the e-government platform.
